Samsung Galaxy S5 screen On

The Samsung Galaxy S5 features an impressive array of applications treasure by any user.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is a powerhouse of a phone boasting some of the best tech available in phones today. Upon first glance, the untrained eye might not see much of a visual difference between Samsung’s newest offering and the S4, or anything else in the Galaxy line for that matter. The exterior of the phone also features a hinged charging cover, a slight hint to the water resistance of the phone, allowing it to be completely submerged for prolonged periods of time. It might not have a fancy all metal shell like other high-end phones (which, I find the Galaxy’s dotted rear shell easier to hold), but it’s on the inside that it’s absolutely packed with tech.

With a 5.1” screen and a 1080p display, everything looks vibrant on this phone. The rear camera is a 16mp unit, with selectable focus and what I think might be one of the brightest LEDs on a phone for the flash. It also happens to be able to record videos in 4k resolution, which considering the vast majority of people don’t even have a display capable of 4k makes it a tad useless, but still a pretty cool feature that will likely appear on many more phones in the future. As far as the front facing camera goes, it still is a 2mp unit that records 1080p video, which is very respectable in itself...

The Qosmio X875 gaming laptop from Toshiba.

Toshiba Qosmio X875

The Toshiba’s Qosmio line include many serious, desktop-replacement sort of laptops. All Qosmios have 17.3” screens, and powerful CPUs, graphics cards, and tons of storage space. For gaming, design, or any CPU intensive activity, pretty much the Qosmio laptops series can fit the bill.

The specific model I’m reviewing here is the Qosmio X875-Q7380. The Toshiba Qosmio X875 Notebook PC, to start out with, the first thing anybody can notice is the design. Toshiba opted to give the Qosmio a mix between the modern, clean styling with a definite “techy” feel to it. The red trim really sets off the looks from any other laptop, and the diamond pattern on the cover and on the inside both looks and feels good, while being pretty resistant to things such as fingerprints compared to some other laptops. In a way, it reminds me a bit of carbon fiber, which is not a bad thing at all.

Continuing on, the entire touch-pad and mouse button is all one, so you can use the mouse in the same spot where you would click. This makes using the touch-pad much easier, and I’m one to usually hate touch-pads. The keyboard is also easy to use and firm, not bendy feeling.

Another plus to this is...

sony xperia 1

Well, I did it.  I bought my tablet.  I have been writing about them since sprintgtime.  It's a Sony Xperia S. 16gb ram. Lets look at some of the specs.

Processor Type : NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 Mobile Processor | with 4-PLUS -1™ Quad Core ARM® Cortex™-A9 CPU 1.4 GHz* *Maximum 1.4 GHz (1 Core Operation), Maximum 1.3GHz (Multi-Core Operation)

Display Technology : TFT Color LCD    Resolution : 1280 x 800     Screen Size : 9.4" (23.8 cm)

With the resolution in the 9.4 inch form factor the picture density is beautiful.  Black background is deep black.

The Battery life is around 12 hrs.

Android 4.0 (actually it came with 4.2 and 4.3 is ready for download)

Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n

Bluetooth 3.0  (talks to my car, my hearing aides, my laptop...)

Full size SD memory slot. The specs say 32g MAX but I put a 64G SDXC   XC supports SD memory up to 2 Terabytes. I formatted the card to exFAT and I know of people who are using 128gb ram SD cards.  Is that cool?

Sony opted for the multiport, so I had to buy the USB port cable.  It's full size and supports external hard drives.  These last two options are the icing on the cake.

But the sprinkles..... is a built in IR Remote control that when combined with a free Watch now app gives you TV Guide like browsing and click if you want it and the remote will set the channel.
